I’ve trained with Gary for about six years now and to transform my body has been a journey. Some ups and downs and a lot of hard work, eating right and dedication has gotten me to this point. This is only another step along this journey and I will continue to work hard. Gary is great at challenging me during my work outs even when I’m not feeling it. He introduces new movements and encourages me to lift to my full potential. Working hard in the gym is only one side of the equation though. If you want to see significant results, you also need to consider what you are using to fuel your workouts. Gary will provide a wealth of information regarding nutrition and the impact on your body/workouts. I started training with both Heather and Gary three years ago in their kettlebell class. I came to them in good shape but after training with both of them over the years I am now in the best shape of my life. They each bring something different to the table in their training styles, and between them they have taught me proper nutrition techniques and amazing strength and conditioning workouts. They have taught me proper training programs which will help maintain my weight and prevent injury which I can utilize for the rest of my life. I really enjoy the fitness classes at our gym but when I focused on training with the Newman's I really saw results. If you ever wondered if it is worth it getting a trainer, I am here to say it is and that there is no such thing as wasting money on fitness! All you have to do is work as hard as you can and you will see results with all the resources they provide.

I never thought I would do a fitness photo shoot in my 40's but thanks to Heather's direction and Gary's amazing workouts I did ! I would never have pushed hard enough to do it without them and it was an amazing experience. I can't thank them enough for motivating me to do what they knew I could do! How did I get here? A lot of hours in the gym. Performing exercises that were beyond my comfort zone or lifting weight that was heavier than I would have chosen. With Gary's encouragement and confidence, these are the things I am most proud of. Gary designed workout programs specifically for me, for my goals. He was open to feedback and really listened to my concerns. As we worked together I really learned to trust him. He knows my limits better than I do. Who would ever have thought that adding muscle would have achieved the goals I expressed to him at the beginning? Turns out, he was right.

One other item - nutrition. This is the key that unlocks all of the hard work in the gym. Through Heather and Gary I learned how to fuel for my workouts. They were both willing and accessible for my many, many questions. They were excellent at explaining what impact different foods can have on my body. This truly is a fine art. Most importantly though, their definition of nutrition is sustainable and enjoyable. And they live what they teach. They are true examples of everyone's potential.
